 If the letter is from a child, I've typed it as written and resisted the urge to correct any spelling, grammar errors so you get to read it in the way it was written using their own words.

It all happened so fast I didn't feel I had thanked you properly. What a great party. We were  in awe of your talent - noisy uninvited parents, a couple of free range toddlers, hecklers, a few smart a***d 6yr olds - all expertly dealt with, without causing offence or putting you off your stride. The shy kids were brought in to the action and your judgement of those who deserved the main prizes was spot on. (I swear that you read my mind with your choice of the little girl for the duck). My own two kids have been ramalangadingdonging since dawn. Worth every penny. Will definitely recommend.

Dear Clive,

I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for the brilliant entertainment that you provided for Amy’s 5^th birthday party last Saturday.

 Amy and her friends have not stopped talking about it and I know that many of the parents were really impressed.  One Mum had told me that her son always ran away from magicians before but that he had thoroughly enjoyed your show and watched it throughout!  You made Amy feel so special and she could not have had a better party anywhere else – it was perfect in every way.

 I cannot get over the fact that all 28 kids sat so still and quiet for so long – they were obviously so totally engrossed.  It takes a person with a very special talent and understanding of children to do that and you really are the best.

 Thanks again, I am sure that you will get many repeat bookings and I hope to be in the audience again soon.  Next time we may even hear you speak through the Kangaroo??  Go on, be brave, I am sure that you will be amazing.

Dear Emazdad!

 

Today I took my son, Ethan to his friend Ambers birthday party at Holy Family, Beacon Park. I would really like to thank you. Ethan is a shy boy and finds parties quite difficult, he gets a bit overwhelmed with a room full noisy kids and it takes him a while to be able to join in. 

I was so pleased that he joined in with the dancing and even more pleased when you gave him "Jerome" the alien as a prize for his dancing.

 

I noticed how good you were at observing the children and weighing them up, who was outgoing, who needed a bit more encouragement etc. you seemed to know that Ethan needed a bit of help! he was delighted with Jerome and i hope that this good experience will make it easier for him next time he goes to a party.

Hi there,

Just to say a huge Thank you for being so wonderful at Molly's party on August 31st, we already knew the children would love your show, but it seemed better than ever.

What's magical for the kids is the way you interact so individually with them, calling them by name and involving everybody at some point - you make it look so easy, all that banter which they love, whilst keeping them all under control - but we parents know it isn't, you are just very good at it! And the icing on the cake for Molly is that you have put her picture of you and Marmite on your website - to say she is thrilled is an under-statement!

 

I have already given out 2 of your cards to interested parents at school after I was waxing lyrical about the party. A couple of weeks before Molly was 8, Jack was 11, and we had a snow-bobbing/tobogganing party at the Ski Slopes, for 17 kids, with a basic nuggets and chips meal added, and it cost £15 per head, £255 total, and no lovely little novelty prizes thrown in, it cost another £35 for party bags, and do you know, Jack enjoyed Molly's party more than he did his own!!

 

Anyway, Our Humble Thanks again, you are a star!

Dear Clive (Emazdad)

We would dearly love to thank you so much for making Jack’s 5^th birthday party in the garden such a wonderful memorable day on the 8^th August.

 

Your Reputation precedes you, so we were confident that the 40+ children of 0-14 years would enjoy the show, but we underestimated your talents greatly- they loved every minute of it!!!

 

The parents were as entranced and impressed as the children, of course, from the magic tricks and treats to the games to the balloon modelling, you held them all spellbound and involved even the most reserved with your easy manner and jokes which were just at the right level.

 

How you do it, we don’t know and why you do it is even more of a mystery!!! But you clearly do love it, and the children love you- well done!

 

My husband tells me that you are already booked for his works Christmas party for the children at Barden at Estover so Jack will be seeing you again then if not before, and we have say a huge thanks to you again for making our little boy such a happy chap! You really are a star.

The party went so well, all the children enjoyed themselves tremendously and this was due to your performance, which was enjoyed by all the adults as well. Being stuck in the kitchen, I didn’t get to see very much, but everyone assures me it was money very well spent.

 

The balloon models were absolutely incredible- I can't believe how quickly you made such difficult models. My friend Lisa spent all night making five dogs, and she was amazed ( especially as the models looked like what they were supposed to be; the dogs she made were of a very dubious breed.)
